We’re good friends with Ga. JOHN LLOYD Cruz reveals what made him emotional just recentlyHindi napigilan ni JOHN LLOYD Cruz ang maging emosyunal kahapon sa The Buzz, para i-promote ang upcoming movie nila ni Sarah Geronimo, ang It Takes A Man And A Woman. It makes you appreciate yourself a lot better.” “It can make you a not so better person. A Very Special Love with Sarah noon. “I was supposed to do a movie with another leading lady and then hindi pwede, so sabi nila ito na lang… gawin natin ito.” Wag, wag, wag.” Sa tanong naman kung bakit gusto niyang leading lady si Sarah, ang sagot ng aktor, “Si Sarah talaga since day one, since that Maalaala Mo Kaya episode, since then hanggang ngayon and naniniwala ako, we will always have this very special connection. Hindi siya chemistry. It’s a gift. “Hindi ko sinasabing matanda na ako, I’m still very young. I really want to achieve that quality of life (when) I want to spend more quality time with my family, with my loved ones, with myself. Nagtatrabaho tayo para sa sarili natin and gusto natin ma-enjoy ‘yon. Hindi naman ibig sabihin early retirement; three years from now, 5 years, wala na ako. Kasama na rin dun ‘yung better choices when it comes to projects.” Ang It Takes A Man And A Woman ay magbubukas sa mga sinehan sa Marso 30. Attachments:

JOHN LLOYD touched, tears up on 'The Buzz'MANILA – JOHN LLOYD Cruz may already be one of this generation’s brightest stars but the actor, it turns out, sometimes doesn't think highly of himself. During his guesting on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Cruz turned emotional after watching a recorded video of his past and present leading ladies, who only had good words to say about him. It makes you appreciate yourself a lot better,” he said with tears in his eyes. Cruz said he is deeply grateful to Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin and Sarah Geronimo for making him realize that he has done something right in his life. Salamat po,” he said. Working with Sarah Meanwhile, Cruz said he is already excited for his fans to see his latest movie with Geronimo titled “It Takes A Man and A Woman.” This is the third -- and reportedly the last -- installment of their big screen team-up. “Iba na kasi ito eh. Iba na ang take off ng story. You have to watch it. Hindi ko rin maikwento. If you’ve seen the trailer, maiintindihan niyo. Mags-start siya na 'yung love story ni Miggy and Laida, natapos,” he said. Recalling when they did “A Very Special Love” five years ago, Cruz said his team-up with Geronimo is just proof that some of the best things that happen in life are not actually planned. “It was parang by accident eh. Hindi sinasadya. If I remember it correctly, hindi naman talaga iyon ang dapat na gagawin ko. I was supposed to do a movie with another leading lady tapos hindi puwede so sabi nila ito na lang, gawin natin ito,” he said. “Kami ni Sarah since day one, since that 'MMK' episode hanggang ngayon, naniniwala ako na we will always have this very special connection. Hindi siya chemistry eh. It’s a gift that goes beyond the chemistry. Iba 'yung sa amin ni Bea, iba y'ung sa amin ni Angel, ni Toni. Iba ‘to eh,” he added. “It Takes A Man and A Woman” is set to be released in theaters nationwide on March 30. Attachments:

Sarah and JOHN LLOYD in a never-ending love storyMANILA, Philippines - Still basking in the back-to-back success of their two 2009 Star Cinema starrers, A Very Special Love (with a gross of over P176M) and You Changed My Life (P209M), JOHN LLOYD Cruz and Sarah Geronimo (photo) are together again to resume their never-ending love story in It Takes A Man and A Woman, another offering from the same company in a joint venture with Viva Films. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, one of Star Cinema’s box-office directors noted for weaving radically enchanting love stories, It Takes A Man and A Woman was partly filmed in New York which was then covered with snow that partly symbolized the momentary coldness in the relationship of Sarah and JOHN LLOYD’s characters. “The movie will make moviegoers hark back to everything beautiful that Sarah and JOHN LLOYD’s characters experienced in their past two movies,” assured direk Cathy, “and will make them ask for more.” The movie also stars Isabelle Daza as the girl who comes between Sarah and JOHN LLOYD during a gap in their romance. Showing in more than 100 theaters nationwide starting March 30, Black Saturday, the story of It Takes A Man and A Woman is capsulized thus: She just loved him from afar — not giving a damn about his ego that is as big as his billboard. He used to be a monster boss — hungry for approval and caring about nothing but to stay on top. Until they shared A VERY SPECIAL LOVE, one that CHANGED THEIR LIVES forever. In the story, Sarah plays Laida Magtalas, a firm believer in true love amid life’s pains and down cycles. JOHN LLOYD plays Miggy Montenegro, the heir to the huge family business. The lovers survived a long-distance relationship when Laida left for Canada. But when Miggy’s father (played by Dante Rivero) dies, Laida is nowhere for him to turn to, she who is his pillar of strength, so he turns to the arms of Belle Laurel (Isabelle), his former sweetheart. When Laida returns from Canada, she catches Miggy in the arms of Belle, so feeling broken-hearted and betrayed, she moves to New York where she gets a job as editorial coordinator of a magazine which, without her knowing it, will lead to her meeting Miggy again and their… eventual reconciliation? JOHN LLOYD mulls early retirement[/size] JOHN LLOYD Cruz wants to retire early and enjoy the family he plans to have someday. At the press conference of his upcoming movie with Sarah Geronimo, “It Take a Man and a Woman,” JOHN LLOYD showed his vulnerable side, baring his feelings and how he looks at the future. “I’m thinking (of) early retirement. I want to spend quality time with my family and my would-be family,” he said. He didn’t specify when he will retire. But when that time comes, JOHN LLOYD won’t abandon showbiz. He’ll just select the projects he will take. “Siguro kapag dumating iyon, on the side, pili tayo ng magandang projects. The 29-year old actor is of marrying age, but he wants to wait until he’s more financially stable before settling down. JOHN LLOYD reprises the role of Miggy Montenegro in Star Cinema’s “It Takes a Man and a Woman” while Sarah plays Laida Magtalas. It’s their third team-up, following the highly successful “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life.” What makes their team-up click? “It’s beyond chemistry. It’s magical eh. We have this very special connection na mahirap ipaliwanag,” JOHN LLOYD replied. He added that the best thing about their relationship is they have matured and they know each other more. “Alam ko in my heart na we will always be special to one another,” JOHN LLOYD said. JOHN LLOYD notes that Sarah has the qualities he wants in a girl. But Sarah said he did not court her. “You have to respect kung ano ang kanyang sitwasyon. You have to respect yung decision niya and yung family niya. Alam naman natin ang priority niya is trabahuin ng husto ang kanyang career, be the best she can be. Bakit mo ipipilit ‘di ba?,” he said. JOHN LLOYD only has good words for Sarah, whom he said remains professional and dedicated to her work despite her personal problems. “Sarah’s been perceived by many na popstar princess na sikat na sikat, na nagkakamali, nakaka-encounter ng problema sa trabaho at pag-ibig. Pero in the end, si Sarah is si Sarah. He also defended Sarah’s candidness. “Si Sarah kasi masyado siyang totoo, she’s very candid. Kaya minsan we have to give her a break, babae rin siya, nasasaktan. Minsan nadudulas ang dila, ganoon talaga. Lahat naman tayo dumadaan diyan. Ang maganda doon is how you rise above it. An 'emotional' JOHN LLOYDJOHN LLOYD became teary-eyed when asked what he has learned from his character. In the end, sasabihin sa iyo, the best thing is to be a good person. That’s all that matters. Lahat is secondary. Just be a good person.” He added, “Masyado lang ako naka-associate sa pelikula. Kakatapos lang namin and very emotional kaming lahat. But I’m very much okay.” “It Takes a Man and a Woman” opens in theaters nationwide on Black Saturday, March 30. Attachments:
