at the first Valentine movie

FROM YEARS OF CHURNING out both effective and fresh tube commercials, CloseUp brings love moments on to the silver screen with its first feature film entitled "Close To You."

In cooperation with Star Cinema and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, "Close To You" stars the love team of JOHN LLOYD Cruz and Bea Alonzo. The movie also marks the film debut of Sam Milby.

"Close To You" is about a girl (Alonzo) and her childhood crush, the most pop guy in school (Milby). Hmm ... classic. While she's goin' gaga over Milby's character, her best friend (Cruz) secretly holds his love for her too. Aha -- it's a love triangle! This smells dilemma! Exclamation point!

Milby shares, "It's a dream come true for me to be part of this project. I never expected anything like this to happen. To be doing a movie with one of the country's biggest love teams is a privilege."

He adds, "It is really a learning experience. The beauty about the film is that it's taught me a lot about love, career and life."

The film also grants the wishes of the 100 lucky winners of last year's great campaign called CloseUp to Film. 40 winners from Luzon, 30 from Visayas, and 30 from Mindanao won various prizes including the opportunity to become a part of the cast in this full-length feature.

Shot across the country, the movie gives the 100 winners of CloseUp to Film the chance to experience first-hand how it is to be in front of the cams.

All these come to life when "Close to You" hits theaters nationwide on Feb. 15.

Reporter: Sam Milby, isang malaking hadlang sa pagi-ibigang JOHN LLOYD at Bea? Subaybayab nyo ito, mga darling…….

Reporter: Ngayong inamin na nila JLC at Bea na nagkakamabutihan na sila heto’t papasok naman si Sam Milby upang lituhin ang puso ni Bea. Kaya sa presscon ng inaabangan Valentines presentation ng movie ‘Close To You’ kinorner ko ang tatlo:

Reporter (with Sam): Is Bea your ideal girl?

Sam: I don’t know Bea well enough to say anything about that, but she is very, very, very nice

Reporter: Any message to JOHN LLOYD?

Sam: Any message to JOHN LLOYD? I envy how great….you are such an amazing actor talaga. I’m just very excited and I’m very glad that I have this opportunity.

Reporter (now with Bea and JLC): Gaano kayo ka-close ni Bea Ngayon?

JLC: Close na..gabi na, eh….hehehe…ah, may seryoso bas a wazzup? I can say na talagang close-na-close

Reporter (JLC seems to put his hand around Bea): Hindi ka ba natatakot na maagaw ni Sam Milby sa iyo si Bea?

JLC: Malaya pa siya kung sinong gusto niya….pero kung si Sam ang piliin niya..eh di….magkalimutan na! (Bea and JLC look at each other laughing)

Reporter: Bea, sino ba talaga….si JOHN LLOYD or si Sam?

Bea: Pareho ko silang friend and um….

JLC (interrupts Bea in a playful manner): Ah friends na ba kayo?

Bea (playfully hitting JLC’s arm to his delight): Friends kami ha!

JLC (to Bea): Friends nap ala kayo…

Bea (to reporter): but we’re closer (speaking about her and JLC – to this JLC gives a happy chuckle)
