Lloydie, Sarah keep kissing scene in suspense
Tuesday, February 17, 2009 sunstar, manila
WILL Laila Magtalas (Sarah Geronimo) finally give her sweet kiss to Miggy Montenegro (JOHN LLOYD Cruz)?
It is for the public to find out on February 25 as "You Changed My Life" hit theaters, said Sarah Geronimo and JOHN LLOYD Cruz during the press conference of their movie Tuesday.
The two stars have no plans to divulge if they finally kiss each other in this sequel movie. Instead, they would want to leave it hanging until the public watch it on its regular screening day.

"That is the suspense of the movie," JOHN LLOYD said. He believed that the success of "A Very Special Love" was anchored to the simplicity of the story and the "kilig" that they marked even without kissing scenes.
"Let's just watch the movie. You know in every movie, people expect kissing scenes. But that is not the only manifestation of being an effective movie. There are many factors that could make a movie beautiful and not only kissing scene, he said.
Since "A Very Special Love," Sarah has been known to reject kissing scenes as she protects her wholesome and youthful image. Asked if Sarah now opens her doors to these kinds of scene, she said: "Panoorin ninyo na lang" followed by a loud laugh.
Sarah shared that she feels more comfortable in her second time to work with JOHN LLOYD. So, she is unworried if ever she has kissing scenes with her partner this time.
"I am more comfortable with him now. And I know that Direk Cathy (Garci-Molina) will take care of me," she said.
For JOHN LLOYD taking care of his co-star is not new. He said that he has always been a caring leading man to his leading lady.
"You need to take care of your partner. Even the crew especially to your leading lady. What is good about Sarah is that she is easy to work with. It is not hard to win her trust. I assure her that I will not take advantage of her and he trust me. So I think that's why our team up works," he said.
"It is clear since from the start that our relationship is just pure work which is good. It developed trust not just between us but the whole cast," he added.
Aside from the surprise "kissing scene," "You Changed My Life" director Cathy Garcia-Molina said that people should expect more sweet scenes in the movie.
"We have to elevate the "kilig" moments in the movie. It is a deeper love story now. I admit that I had a hard time directing it but Sarah and Lloydie made it is easier for me as they completely sink in to their characters, thus they followed instructions simply." (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
